How We Use Subprocessors

When you use Shipletter, your data flows through our subprocessors as follows:

  • Slack messages are fetched from the Slack API at your direction and sent to Anthropic's API for AI-powered newsletter generation. Message content is processed transiently and not stored by Anthropic after the request completes.
  • Generated newsletter drafts, account settings, and session data are stored in our Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database.
  • Links shared in Slack may be crawled via Firecrawl to enrich newsletter content with article summaries and metadata. Only publicly accessible URLs are processed.
  • Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment details on our servers.
  • Usage analytics are collected via PostHog to improve the product. Analytics data is anonymized and does not include Slack message content or newsletter drafts.

Data Residency

All subprocessors used by Shipletter process and store data in the United States. Our application infrastructure is hosted in Render's Oregon (US West) region, and our database is hosted on Supabase's US infrastructure (AWS).
